Drinky-drink recipe

Shortly before our apartment was burglarized in December (I know, I never did an actual post about that…) and my camera was stolen, I had started taking pictures of my culinary creations with the intention of posting the pics along with my recipes. As you can imagine, my pictures were all on the memory card that was stolen along with my camera. So unless you feel like camera shopping at all of the fine pawnbroker establishments of East Cleveland, you’re not going to see pics of my beautiful Locally-grown Kale With Cannellini Beans in White Wine Sauce or delicious Baked Cabbage and Potato Samosas with Chickpeas.

We finally got a new camera yesterday and I’ve already snapped a few pictures, but for now here’s the only recipe I want to post without a companion photo.

I first had some version of this drink at this restaurant in Columbus, which I love and go to every chance I get when I’m down there. Anyway, I forget what they called it and exactly what was in it, but I was sure of these two ingredients and I’ve had success asking bartenders around here to make it:   Big Girl Kool-Aid 2 oz.* Three Olives Grape vodka4 oz.* Canada Dry ginger aleice Pour the first two ingredients over the third. Sip delightedly; however, remember that even though it tastes like a kiddie drink it is most definitely NOT. Can also be served from a punch bowl at a gathering of friends.  *on stressful days, proportions may be reversed. Or hell, eliminate the second one alltogether.

  1. P.S. I am sorry everyone, I don’t know why my recipe is all squished together. Or, for that matter, why a month or two ago all of a sudden my “Me, As a List” page became all squished together. You’d think that with the universe constantly expanding that my blog could afford to have things properly spaced…
